The (just under) 500 inhabitants of this island are renowned for the abundance of spices and herbs and the skill they posses in mastering their uses in everything from perfumes to massage and essential oils. The artisans of the island are also renowned for their craftsmanship with wood and the ancient tattooing techniques.
